Minnesota Chapter Meeting is a Labor-Management Success Story
Minnesota Chapter attendees in the Local 417 union office
May’s Chapter meeting of NFSA’s Minnesota members reflected some very positive labor-management relationships and work efforts. The meeting was attended by Local Sprinkler Fitters 417 leadership, the JATP Training Coordinator, representatives from three contractors, State Fire Marshal staff, NFSA staff from the state and region, and NFSA’s Senior Vice President of Industrial Relations and General Counsel, Fred Barall. Several attendees commented on the unique and strong cooperation among attendees and the great partnership built by attendees over the years.
The meeting was held at Local 417’s Union Hall, and attendees had the opportunity to tour the training lab and classroom areas of the building. Updates were provided on legislative efforts in the state, the upcoming Burn Aid golf tournament, side-by-side demonstrations planned for this year, and updates from the JATC and State Fire Marshal.
