Topic for the evening was Using A Robotic Total Station and BIM for More Precise Installations presented by Alan Johnston of Hydratec, Inc.

Mr. Johnston discussed the advantages of utilizing computerized measurement systems to increase efficiency and accuracy of fire sprinkler installation during construction. Using a CAD design of the plans all pipe hangers can be plotted, located and measured to accuracy of 1/4th of an inch.
