Environmental Considerations for Sprinkler System Design and Product Selection with Mark Hopkins, TERPconsulting
NFPA 13 is a minimum design standard. It incorporates many environmental conditions in the prescriptive requirements but cannot be expected to account for all situations. The application of products without consideration to the environment where they will be used can result in unwanted consequences. This seminar will identify some of the many reasons why environmental conditions should be considered during the design process. In many cases, unique and innovative products have been developed to account for such conditions. Some of these products will be reviewed as part of this seminar.
Deciding on the best Dry Sprinkler System Air Supply with Ray Fremont Jr, General Air Products
There are a variety of technologies on the market for filling dry pipe and pre-action fire sprinkler systems – namely compressed air, dry air and nitrogen. Each technology comes with its own pros and cons. Some might be surprised to know that no one type is the best fit for every application! In this webinar, we will review the available technologies, examine the pros and cons of each type and discuss corrosion mitigation from both a design and field-level perspective. Additionally, we will provide attendees with a series of in-depth questions designed to help you decide if a particular air supply technology is the right fit for a given application.
