Boston Chapter

 

The Boston Chapter of the NFSA is made up of individuals and professional organizations that are committed to promoting the fire sprinkler concept in the Boston metropolitan area. Michael Young, Regional Manager of both the Boston and Connecticut chapters, works closely with local tradespeople, fire officials, and lawmakers to advance the fire sprinkler concept in New England.

Massachusetts Fire Sprinkler Coalition Meeting

On January 10, 2019, new and former members of the Massachusetts Fire Sprinkler Coalition met at the Berlin, Massachusetts Public Safety Facility to reorganize and re-energize efforts to promote residential fire sprinklers, in an effort to increase life safety, reduce injuries and deaths from fire and to reduce the risks of cancer in firefighters.

Sprinkler Save at Stow, Massachusetts Senior Living Condo

Just before 6:00 p.m. on January 9th, firefighters were dispatched to an over-55 housing complex for a fire alarm activation. Crews found a fire caused by materials left on a stove on the third floor. The sprinkler system activated keeping the fire from spreading. All safe with #fastestwater!
