State of the Future Leadership Committee from Chair Liotta

FLC Highlights from the Maui Business & Leadership Conference
By Lainey Liotta, FLC Chair
The FLC had a strong presence at the recent Business & Leadership Conference held in beautiful Maui. Six FLC members participated in sessions covering various topics such as Marketing, Artificial Intelligence, Leadership, and sprinkler system design. One of the key highlights was a roundtable discussion between current NFSA Board members James Lewis and Nancy Hammond and FLC members Lainey Liotta, Melisa Rodriguez, and Darren Palmieri focusing on bridging generational gaps in the workplace. Engaging topics like “tiara syndrome,” attracting and retaining younger talent, distinguishing between mentorship and sponsorship of high-potential colleagues, and career paths were thoroughly explored. The conversation continued during a happy hour co-sponsored by ServiceTrade. We eagerly anticipate next year’s conference in Nashville, TN.

Additionally, the FLC aims to advocate for the perspectives of emerging industry leaders at the NFSA Board of Directors level, influencing the direction, leadership, and future of the industry and the organization.
