Member Monday: NFSA and Partners Conduct Fire Sprinkler Demo at Ferguson in Cincinnati

Last Thursday, the National Fire Sprinkler Association was honored to attend Ferguson’s open house and trade show in Cincinnati, Ohio. Over one hundred members and non-members from a variety of fire protection professions attended this event that involved tabletop vendors and even a side by side fire sprinkler demonstration!
NFSA Membership Committee Chair Bob Knose welcomed the vendors to the event and thanked NFSA and the Ohio SFMO for being there with the fire sprinkler demonstration unit. NFSA’s Director of Membership and Chapter Relations Caleb Armbrust greeted all the attendees and invited them to the upcoming annual seminar in Clearwater, as well as the North American Fire Sprinkler Expo in May of 2023 in Austin, Texas. Attendees made their way through the tabletop tent area to learn more about different products and services that are new to the industry and eventually made their way outside to NFSA’s side by side trailer.
NFSA President Shane Ray was on site to narrate the side by side demonstration to all attendees, many of whom had never seen a fire sprinkler in action. Multiple NFSA staff were also present to promote the NFSA’s efforts to members and non-members alike.
The team would like to thank the Ferguson Fire & Fabrication West Chester Branch for hosting this event as well as the local fire department for their collaboration with the side by side burn. We are also grateful for the the Ohio State Fire Marshal Office, and Chief of the Fire Prevention Bureau Ken Klouda for their attendance. The NFSA hopes to take part in promoting and attending more of these events in the future. For more information on NFSA events, visit our event page here.
