NFSA Exhibits at AFAA’s Annual Meeting and Codes Conference

NFSA’s Michael Wilson and John Swanson were present at the Automatic Fire Alarm Association’s (AFAA) Annual Meeting and Codes Conference last week in Palm Coast, Florida. This was the AFAA’s first conference since 2019 and attendees were more than excited to be there to meet face to face and shake hands once again!

The NFSA’s goal at this conference was primarily to network with members and potential members and discuss the NFSA’s role in NFPA 72 and other standards relevant to attendees.

Over 60 professionals from all over the country attended this conference. Keynote speakers included Shawn Simmons and Alvaro Llanos, who shared their inspiring story of survival and healing in the wake of the Seton Hall fire. There were also several educational sessions relevant to the alarm industry that NFSA staff attended.

Catching up with Members

NFSA spent quality time with members who attended the conference, including Inspect Point, Armstrong Pumps, and Potter Electric Signal—to name just a few. NFSA staff also enjoyed catching up with our Mexican counterpart association, AMRACI.

The combined efforts of the Membership and Codes and Standards Teams made this conference a success. The departments look forward to more opportunities to serve NFSA members in the future.
