Member Monday: MK Fire Protection Protects Philadelphia and New Jersey
The National Fire Sprinkler Association team was able to sit down with Brian Geary, president and founder of MK Fire Protection, a fire sprinkler contractor in Blackwood, New Jersey. While at the company’s offices, the NFSA team was able to learn more about how the company operates, its mission, and some notable projects it has worked on in the area.
Growing as a Fire Sprinkler Contractor in Philadelphia and New Jersey
Building on his years in the fire protection industry, Brian Geary set out to start his own venture. In 2010 he founded MK Fire Protection. At its inception, the company only had a few customers, but with hard work and stellar customer service the company’s reputation grew, and so did its customer base.
Brian shared that MK Fire Protection covers the entire greater Philadelphia area, having handled projects as far north as Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and as far south as the Jersey shore, as well as everywhere in between.
As the years went on and the company’s reputation grew, Brian and his team took on bigger jobs, including student housing for the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University, a library for Temple University, numerous high rises throughout Philadelphia, and even work for the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Driven by Vision, MK Fire Protection Continues its Mission
While design and install work has been great for Brian and his team, MK Fire Protection is also growing its service department, and has handled several projects with the City of Philadelphia.
Brian intends to continue to grow his team and has recently brought on a new service manager to handle the growing number of NFPA 25 projects.
NFSA and MK Fire Protection: Partners in Progress
Brian and the MK Fire Protection team are recent members of the NFSA, but the company is looking forward to taking advantage of NFSA’s Expert of the Day program and is already receiving Tech Notes as well as other NFSA mailings.
