NFSA Wisconsin at 52nd Annual Wisconsin State Firefighters Conference

The 52nd Annual Wisconsin State Firefighters Conference was held March 5 – 7, 2020 at the Holiday Inn Conference Center in Stevens Point. This event draws over 400 volunteer, combination and paid firefighters from across Wisconsin. NFSA Wisconsin has been an exhibitor for over a decade, answering questions about fire sprinklers and dispelling myths. We have also been a contributor to the conference Hospitality Reception over the past four years. Assistant State Coordinator Mike Gundersen said that many people stopped and picked up information from the booth. Some people were interested in the mobile side-by-side demo trailers that are located throughout the state and asked how to schedule a demonstration in their area. Others still had questions about sprinkler myths, reducing fires within a community or the water damage caused by fire sprinkler systems. These concerns were adequately laid to rest through conversation.

We continue to work with fire departments across Wisconsin to deliver the #fastestwater message. We also promote the Fire Sprinklers buy time…Time buys life signage to display outside fire stations. Our display incorporates information about fire sprinkler systems as well as educational opportunities available through NFSA. We are glad that the Wisconsin State Firefighters Association is part of the Wisconsin Fire Sprinkler Coalition promoting fire sprinklers in commercial and residential properties.
