2019 OGCV Voting Guidance for the 2021 IRC and IEBC

The ICC’s Online Governmental Consensus Vote (OGCV) is an important part of the ICC code development process. It is the last step to ratify the development of the 2021 Administrative Chapters, IEBC, IRC and Energy Codes.

From November 18- December 5, 2019, validated ICC governmental member representatives (code officials) may vote during this period on ICC’s cdpACCESS website.

The NFSA strongly encourages voting the entire OGCV agenda. Several organizations are distributing voting guidance for their key issues:

  • The NFSA has automatic fire sprinkler system voting guidance here.
  • The National Association of State Fire Marshal’s (NASFM) position on the risks of increasing flammable refrigerants in air conditioning units installed in homes built to the IRC can be found here.
