NFSA Boston Chapter Charity Golf Event to Benefit Shriner’s Hospital for Children

NFSA Boston Chapter raises $25,000 for Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Boston
On Thursday October 24, 2019 NFSA Member, Fire Sprinkler Contractors, Fitters and Fire Sprinkler Industry representatives participated in the 3rd Annual NFSA Boston Chapter Charity Golf Tournament at Plymouth Country Club in Plymouth, MA.
The weather was perfect, and the golf course was spectacular as over 130 golfers enjoyed golfing for a wonderful cause; raising funds for Shriner’s Hospital for Children. Shriners is the premier burn treatment center in the Northeast and the mission of providing care, treatment and comfort to children, regardless of a patient’s family’s ability to pay is their hallmark.
The function room fell silent as guest speaker ‘Annemarie’ told her story of how she was burned, when a candle caught her clothing on fire, the injuries she sustained, her hospitalization and treatment and how much care and support she received from the doctors, nurses and therapists at Shriners.
Several staff and volunteers from Shriners were on hand to accept the donation from Chapter Officers Steven Cook, Alan Mount, Pamela Turner and Alec Cambio.
