NFSA Visits with Ohio State Fire Marshal Jeff Hussey

NFSA Director of Field Operations Gary West and Field Service Coordinator Ron Ritchey visited with the Ohio State Fire Marshal Jeff Hussey and Chief of Fire Prevention Ken Klouda at the Division of State Fire Marshal administration and training facilities located in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, which is the oldest established office of its kind in the United States.
Marshal Hussey and Chief Klouda provided NFSA with a tour of their very impressive facilities, which includes the Ohio Fire Academy and Training Facilities, Forensic Laboratory and Investigation Bureau, and various administrative divisions located at the Academy.
The Division’s mission is to safeguard the public, its property and the environment from fire and related risks through education, regulation, investigation and enforcement.

NFSA commends Marshal Hussey and his dedicated staff for their diligence, efforts, and strategic plans to educate the citizens of Ohio about the life-saving benefits of fire sprinkler systems and looking forward to assisting them in their efforts in the future.
