The Fire Prevention Officers in California met at both ends of the state during the month of May beginning with the SoCal FPO meeting at the Chevron Refinery in El Segundo on May 8^th.  This was a great meeting with reports from committees and stakeholders that included ICC, NFPA, the Office of the State Fire Marshal and concluded with a tour of the refinery and that included its fire protection systems.

The NorCal Fire Prevention Officers Association met on May 17^th in Hayward, CA. at the U.A. Local 483 Sprinkler Fitter Hall.  The meeting included stakeholder reports Regional Manager Bruce Lecair as well committee meetings for the various association sub-committees. The afternoon presentation was a tour of the training facility that includes various fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps and underground fire protection.
