The Burn Center Golf Invitational committee presented checks to the Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Burn Center and the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin Charitable Foundation. The contributions were raised by the 2018 BCGI Golf Event hosted by the NFSA WI Chapter at the Grand Geneva Resort and Spa. The Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Burn Center was presented a check for $77,865 towards the expansion of the Burn Center Outpatient Care Clinic. The PFFW Charitable Foundation received $33,914, which will fund the Newspapers in Education project ($5,000) and the WI Camp for Burn-Injured Youth ($28,914).
The BCGI was initiated and has been fully supported by the fire sprinkler industry. It has donated over $2.5 million over the past 30 years to these two charities to assist with their mission of burn prevention and burn injury care.
