Sprinkler Save at Fort Worth, Texas Cotton Warehouse

Thank you to Homer Robertson, Assistant Fire Chief, Fort Worth Fire Department for sending us this sprinkler save!
Just before 5:00 a.m., crews were dispatched to an automatic alarm at a large storage warehouse at 6600 Oak Grove Rd. Upon arrival, they found a large warehouse full of smoke, called for an alarm assignment and began to search for the source.
Firefighters found large bales of cotton had caught fire in the middle of the structure and the sprinkler system had been activated. The fire sprinkler system was able to keep the entire structure and contents from becoming fully involved and allowed crews to make entry and completely extinguish the fire. Crews continued to remain on scene to pull all of the material out and make sure no embers re-ignited
No injuries were reported and cause is under investigation.
