On Monday, February 18th at approximately 3:00 p.m., the Ramsey Fire Department responded to a report of a fire in a town-home complex. Responding fire crews arrived to an evacuated building with a report of a fire in a second level bedroom.

The was contained by an activation of a single sidewall sprinkler. Crews shut down the fire sprinkler system to limit any additional damage and began removing smoke from the building.

The building sustained virtually no fire damage as a result of the building’s working fire sprinkler system. The cause of the fire was a result of an unattended candle.
