Incident:

A sprinkler system installed by Summit Fire Protection of Saint Paul, MN, extinguished a very scary fire in the Living Waters Lutheran Church in Lino Lakes, MN on January 25.  The church rents out the facility for a pre-school program each day for about 20-25 children.  The fire started on a stovetop, which staff was using to melt wax for a class project.  A teacher removed the flaming pot from the stove with the intention of taking the pot outside….they made it into the hallway before singeing their hand.  Fortunately the burns were minor, and the The pot of wax ignited staff picked up the pot and proceeded to take it outside. While in the hallway a single pendant type sprinkler activated extinguishing the fire. Miraculously, no one was injured moving the pot with little damage being reported. The fire department arrived assisted with ventilation and water evacuation, while all occupants were sheltered in the building due to extreme temperatures outside.

Thank you, Summit Fire Protection, Saint Paul, MN for your life and property saving work!
